RR2016 – May 31

May 31, 2016 by Frank 1 Comment

Today we will be hanging out with our new friend Evan Davis on Lake Lanier, Georgia.

Here’s a small preview of what Evan does for a living.

Evan just launched a new wake shop brand called OneWake.  The whole premise behind OneWake is experiential… much like Road Rules.

Evan’s team also shot a full length movie last year and it premiered last month.  Make sure the check out the trailer. We’re hoping to get a copy!

Today… we will be learning the sport of…   wakesurfing  #what!

Our instructors will be the same professional riders featured in the movie… and we will also have our own professional videographer recording our epic day!

Rumor has it that Evan will also be catering a lunch for us to be delivered to us ON THE BOAT!

This could be one of the most memorable days of the trip… and it’s only day #3.

After our day on the lake with Evan, we’ll travel south into the Atlanta area where we will stay with our friend Josh Smith. Josh will also be providing dinner for us.

After hang gliding we will drive 144 miles south towards Atlanta, GA.

Our lodging tonight will be at Stone Mountain Campground where we will be sleeping in two of their Yurts!

Welcome to Road Rules 2016!

Make sure to visit everyday for the next 9 days to see where we are going and what we are doing.

Today, we left Chicagoland at 4:00am.  We jumped in a 15 passenger van and started driving south.  We will eventually end up in Iron Station, NC where our entire group will take part in a wedding ceremony of a Road Rules 2011 Alumni, Colton Hudson.  We hope to make it in time for the 6pm wedding!

After the wedding, we will travel approximately one hour to Randy and Jody Roth’s home in Cornelius, NC. Jody is also a Road Rules 2011 Alumni, and is a great friend and fabulous host.  We’ll be eating a late dinner, around 9pm, and spending the night at her house.

Miles traveled today – 800
Total miles traveled – 800
